What is microcement?

Microcement is a thin decorative coating applied in layers to a prepared surface. Its hand-finished texture creates subtle variation and a continuous look across floors, walls and other features.

Colours, texture and sheen can be selected to suit your interior, from warm sand tones to soft greys. We review samples with you before the finish is agreed.

A few common questions

Can it go over existing tiles?

Often, provided they are firmly bonded and the base is suitable. Loose tiles, grout lines, moisture and surface levels need to be assessed and addressed first.

Is it suitable for showers?

Yes, with a system specified for wet areas. Waterproofing, sealing, drainage and junctions must be considered together; the decorative coating alone does not replace those details.

Can microcement crack?

Movement in the underlying surface can affect the finish. A stable base, appropriate preparation and respect for existing movement joints are essential.

How do I look after it?

Follow the installed system’s curing and care instructions. Routine cleaning generally uses gentle, pH-neutral products. Avoid abrasive cleaners and protect the surface when moving furniture.

How much does it cost?

We quote for the individual project. The area, condition of the base, preparation, access and chosen finish all affect the price. Photos and approximate measurements help us start the conversation.
