What is stone carpet?
Stone carpet combines small pieces of natural marble with polyurethane resin. The mixture is applied by hand to create a continuous decorative surface with a visible stone texture. It is also known as marble carpet or moqueta de piedra.
Its appeal is the combination of natural colour and a flowing finish that can follow the shape of your outdoor space. Expansion joints and other construction details are incorporated into the installation where needed.

Can it go over existing tiles?
It may be possible when the tiles and underlying surface are sound and suitable for the system. We check their condition, drainage and available height at thresholds before recommending preparation or removal.
Is stone carpet waterproof?
The open stone carpet finish is designed to let water pass through it. Any waterproofing needed beneath a terrace must be specified as part of the complete build-up. If you have existing leaks, our waterproofing service can form part of the project.
Is it suitable around swimming pools?
Pool surrounds are one of its intended applications. The proposed finish, slip resistance and drainage need to suit the particular location. We confirm the appropriate specification before installation.
How do I care for it?
The supplier recommends gentle cleaning with water, neutral soap and a brush. We confirm the care instructions for your chosen system and any recommended inspections or treatments at handover.
How much does it cost?
We quote for your project after reviewing the area, existing surface, access and chosen finish. Your proposal identifies the preparation and installation included, together with any necessary repairs or waterproofing.
