Guttering in Sotogrande.
Sotogrande Projects installs, replaces, repairs and cleans gutters and downpipes. Whether you need a complete new system, help with an overflowing gutter or regular maintenance, we organise the work from the initial assessment through to completion.
Small jobs are welcome. We assess what your property needs and explain the proposed work, materials and access arrangements before getting started.
Gutter installation and replacement
We install new guttering and replace existing systems, from a single section to a complete property. Materials, profiles and colours are selected to suit the building, your preferences and your budget. We can discuss aluminium, PVC, zinc, copper and other suitable options, checking compatibility and availability before agreeing the specification.
The installation needs to consider more than appearance. We assess the roof edges, gutter runs, supports, outlets and downpipe positions, together with where the collected water will discharge. When replacing existing gutters, we also consider the condition of the fixing points and explain any associated repairs included in the proposal.
Guttering can be a standalone job or coordinated with roof repairs and replacements, allowing access and the sequence of work to be planned together.
Gutter repairs and downpipes
If water is entering the building, the source may require further investigation. Alongside gutter repairs, we undertake waterproofing and water ingress investigations to assess the work your property needs.
A leaking joint or damaged section does not necessarily mean the whole system needs replacing. We assess the affected area and the surrounding guttering to establish whether a local repair is practical. Work can include repairing joints, replacing damaged sections, securing loose supports and repairing or replacing downpipes.
If the existing system is deteriorating in several places, we explain the limitations of a patch repair and discuss the alternatives. The proposed work is agreed with you before we proceed, including any additional defects found once access is available.
Gutter cleaning and regular maintenance
We remove accumulated leaves, pine needles and other debris, check outlets and downpipes for blockages, and test that water flows through. If the visit reveals damage or a problem that needs further work, we let you know and explain the next step.
Cleaning can be arranged as a one-off job or included in an agreed garden and pool maintenance plan. The frequency depends on the property, nearby trees and how quickly debris collects. We also consider the access equipment needed, so the scope and arrangements are clear.
Properties with trees close to the roof can need more frequent attention, particularly where pine needles accumulate. Planning visits around the conditions at your property makes the service more useful than applying the same cleaning schedule to every home.
Gutter guards and leaf protection
Where nearby trees regularly drop leaves or pine needles onto the roof, we can assess whether gutter guards would be useful. The choice depends on the debris, the gutter system and access for cleaning. Guards do not make gutters maintenance-free: material can collect on top, and the gutters and outlets still need periodic inspection and cleaning. We can discuss whether fitting protection or arranging regular cleaning is the more practical option for your property.
Safe access and clear communication
We use appropriate safety equipment and arrange scaffolding, cherry pickers or other suitable access equipment according to the property and the work involved. We consider space for equipment, protection of surrounding areas and weather conditions when planning the job.
You deal with Sotogrande Projects throughout. We coordinate the team and any specialist support, organise the work and remain your point of contact afterwards. We keep you informed as the work progresses, often sharing photo updates and, where useful, short videos. This is particularly helpful when you are away from the property or the work is in areas you cannot easily see yourself.
Tell us what needs attention.
Send us a WhatsApp message with your property location, a short description of the work and any photos you already have. Images taken safely from ground level are a useful starting point; there is no need to climb up to inspect the gutters yourself.
For planned work, we arrange a free initial site visit to assess the requirements and prepare a proposal. Let us know whether you need installation, repairs, a one-off clean or ongoing maintenance.
